The Mawnan Narrow Bench is a pared-back oak bench designed around simplicity, proportion and versatility. Its reduced depth allows it to occupy spaces where a conventional bench might feel intrusive, making it well suited to hallways, bedrooms and transitional areas of the home.
The solid oak top is shaped by hand, leaving gentle undulations across the surface and softened carved edges that invite touch. Beneath, four faceted legs taper towards the floor, their subtle irregularities reflecting the character of hand tools rather than machine production. Exposed wedged joints secure each leg to the seat, creating a strong and lasting connection while revealing an essential part of the construction.
Whether used as occasional seating, at the foot of a bed, or as a low platform for books, ceramics or collected objects, the bench remains adaptable without drawing unnecessary attention to itself. Finished with natural oils and waxes, the oak is responsibly sourced and selected for its distinctive grain and longevity.
