Mawnan Chair

This low-backed chair is crafted from solid oak with a focus on comfort, restraint, and enduring structure. The seat is gently curved and contoured to support the body, while a live edge along the brim introduces natural variation and visual texture.

Four tapered spindle legs are individually shaped by hand and secured using traditional wedged mortice and tenon joints, ensuring durability and a sense of precision. The backrest follows a subtle curve and is set at a carefully considered angle, offering understated support without visual heaviness.

Designed to suit calm, uncluttered spaces, this chair sits comfortably within modern rustic, minimalist, and wabi-sabi interiors. Finished with natural oils and waxes to protect and deepen the wood’s tone, the oak is sustainably sourced and chosen for its strength, grain, and ability to age beautifully.
