Crafted from solid oak, this stool balances simplicity with sculptural detail. The seat is smoothly contoured for comfort, with coarser, tactile edges that retain a sense of the wood’s natural form. A live edge at the front highlights the contrast between heartwood and pale sapwood, making each piece uniquely expressive.
The four legs are hand-shaped with a gentle taper and are joined to the seat using wedged mortice and tenon joints for lasting strength. This low, versatile piece works well in relaxed settings, as occasional seating, a side table, or a stand-alone object that brings warmth and character to a room.
Finished in natural oils and waxes, the oak will develop a rich patina over time. The wood is locally and responsibly sourced, supporting sustainable practices while celebrating material honesty.
